ChatGPT AI technology is a wake-up call for Google co-founders
Recent reports say that Google co-founders are looking for ways to tackle the Open ChatGPT platform. This AI-driven platform is proving to be a threat to Google's search business. Since its inception back in November 2022, some people have turned to it to get answers to various questions. Google co-founder's flying car startup is winding down
Google co-founder Larry Page's flying car startup Kittyhawk is winding down, the company announced Wednesday. "We're still working on the details of what's next," the company wrote in a LinkedIn post. Kittyhawk was founded as Zee.Aero in 2010 when Page recruited Sebastian Thrun, who had worked on self-driving cars and other experimental projects at Google, to create electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft. The company unveiled a demonstration video of a flying car in 2017, and Thrun said he envisioned a time when people would be able to hail flying cars through an app like Lyft or Uber. Kittyhawk showcased a flying car model called the Flyer in 2018 that could hold one person and fly up to 20 miles. Thrun told CNBC in an interview earlier that year that the models could take to the skies within five years.

Artificial Intelligence needs responsible approach: Google Co-founder
San Francisco, April 29 (IANS) The boom in Artificial Intelligence (AI) has to be dealt with utmost care as such powerful tools also bring with them new questions and responsibilities, Alphabet's President and Google's Co-founder Sergey Brin has warned. In an annual Founders' letter, Brin who founded Google in 1998 with Larry Page, said: "The new spring in AI is the most significant development in computing in my lifetime. "Every month, there are stunning new applications and transformative new techniques. But such powerful tools also bring with them new questions and responsibilities. "How will they affect employment across different sectors?"
Google co-founder's letter focuses on the dangers and promises of A.I.
The annual Google founders' letters provide insight into the minds that lead one of the world's largest tech firms. Google co-founder and current Alphabet president Sergey Brin wrote this year's letter. Brin briefly mentioned Etherum and the cryptocurrency boom, but a highlight of the letter was the rise of artificial intelligence, which he called the "most significant development in computing in my lifetime." Brin noted that when Google was first founded, A.I. and neural networks were largely viewed as little more than relics in the history of computer science. Today Google and other companies use A.I. for everything from photo analysis to translation services.

Google co-founder 'surprised' by speed of AI advancements
Alphabet Inc. has been one of the world's biggest spenders on artificial intelligence. The advancements have even surprised company co-founder Sergey Brin. Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Brin said that when he was in charge of Alphabet's research group he didn't pay much attention to a team working on artificial intelligence. Now the technology, operated by a division of the company called Google Brain, touches nearly every piece of its business, including translation, photography and advertising. In the shoe store of the future, the sales associate asking if you need help might be a wide-eyed, child-sized robot quizzing you on your preferences and displaying suggestions on a touch screen on its chest.
